Minimalist is not about minimizing but maximizing
Minimalism has been something that I've believed in over the last decade. It all started because of the design language. I was very focused on the aesthetic and the tiny little details on how everything should look. It was almost like I tried to replicate my apartment with the design of my favorite store. I was minimizing for the sake of looking good.
What I didn't realized is that being a minimalist is not JUST about material minimization. Rather, it was about maximizing our mental resources on being conscience of living. Letting go of stuff and distraction is just the first step, what really matters is using the freed up mental resources to work on something meaningful.
