Thinking with first principle is hard...

Today, I was making a product decision with my product team on which target persona our next product should focus on. In the process making the decision, I have naturally drawn my analysis with a comparison on the no code/low code vertical that I think is applicable and similar to our current use case. It was an easy way for us to come to a conclusion because it worked on no code/low code, so it should work on our vertical.

However, after pausing this thought for a moment, I realized we were just falling into the trap of confirmation bias. What we should do instead is to layout the underlying problems of the two personas and compare them at their face value (from first principle) and not base our consideration via another vertical's persona success.
